Pretty Little Liars Season 5, Episode 10 Review — Ali Is VERY Dark

Pretty Little Liars has been on a hot streak of good episodes heading into the Season 5 summer season. But with just two episodes left until the finale, our hopes were extra high for Season 5, Episode 10 ("A Dark Ali"). Did it live up to our expectations?

Yeah, we thought this was another stellar episode. Basically every scene was was compelling; it both moved the plot forward and was jam-packed with fantastic character moments and interactions.

On the relationship front, we loved everything with Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn), who are back to bringing out the best in each other. We liked that Aria (Lucy Hale) finally questioned if she can trust Ezra (Ian Harding), and weadored Emily (Shay Mitchell) finally standing up to Alison (Sasha Pieterse). She's so done, and we cheered to see her get her backbone back.

Speaking of Ali, O.M.G. with that twist at the end. So, she's the one who paid the guy to pretend to have kidnapped her? She really will go to any length to protect herself, won't she? And she's clearly quite the actress. Could she even be "A"?

And let's not forget Mona (Janel Parrish) and Melissa Hastings (Torrey DeVitto), who have both been way too MIA lately, but came back in a big way this week. We loved seeing Mona and Hanna team up, and that Hastings sisters scene was the highlight of the episode. Can't wait to see what Melissa confesses next week!

We give it 4.5 stars!
