Glee Season 5, Episode 10 “Trio” Best and Worst Songs — Do You Agree?
Glee manages to pack an insane number of songs into each episode, which means there will always be a few standouts, along with the inevitable dud or two. We've narrowed all six of the performances from Season 5, Episode 10: “Trio,” down to the very best and the coulda-done-without. Do you agree with our picks?
Best Performance of the Night: “Gloria” by Rachel, Santana, and Starchild
Rachel (Lea Michele) and Starchild (Adam Lambert) were seriously on fire this week, as they brought the house down, down, down, down on “Barracuda.” But even better was them teaming up with Santana (Naya Rivera) for “Gloria.” All three voices sound spectacular together, and we love hearing Starchild hit those high notes — even if we don’t love that he’s standing on the counter while doing it. (Don’t make us call the health inspector, people.)
Worst Performance of the Night: “Danny’s Song” by Will and Emma
OK, this performance certainly wasn’t as dull as, say, watching paint dry... in your soon-to-be-conceived baby’s nursery. And we’re definitely bummed that this was Emma’s (Jayma Mays)second-to-last (sob!) episode. But while the song was sweet, there was nothing spectacular about the vocals here. To borrow a line from the song, this was just “all right.”
