Vampire Diaries Synopsis For Season 5, Episode 12: “The Devil Inside”

With the excitement of the 100th episode looming, we know The Vampire Diaries is going to deliver some amazing episodes when it comes blazing back for the second half of Season 5. First up after the milestone ep: Season 5, Episode 12 (“The Devil Inside”).

Not only does this episode have a super scary title, but it sounds like Enzo (Michael Malarkey) is going to be taking his and Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) bromance to a whole new — and very creeptastic — level.

Meanwhile, things get awkward between Nadia (Olga Fonda) and Matt (Zach Roerig), leaving Matt with only one option: throw a party! At said party, Caroline (Candice Accola) is going to reveal something to Elena (Nina Dobrev) that is going to make things awkward with Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Tyler (Michael Trevino). Is this the “scandalous behavior” from the 100th episode coming to bite Caroline in the butt? We predict a Steroline kiss!

Lastly, we’re not making any assumptions, but since Katherine isn’t mentioned in the synopsis, it sounds like she may actually bite the dust in the 100th episode.

Check out the full synopsis of the January 30 episode:

“When Enzo (guest star Michael Malarkey) brings Damon (Ian Somerhalder) a gruesome present and insists that they bond by committing an act of revenge, Damon makes an effort to do the honorable thing. After finding himself in awkward and confusing conversations with Nadia (guest star Olga Fonda), Matt impulsively decides to throw a party, where Caroline (Candice Accola) makes a stunning confession to Elena (Nina Dobrev), then has to face the consequence of her actions with Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Tyler (Michael Trevino). Aaron (guest star Shaun Sipos) does his best to make amends for his family’s past misdeeds and start a new life for himself. Finally, Elena suddenly finds herself in a life-threatening situation with only minutes to figure out how to save herself.”

What do you think Caroline’s “shocking confession” is? Hit the comments and let us know!

The Vampire Diaries airs on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
