The Vampire Diaries Season 5, Episode 17 Sneak Peek: Damon and Elena Can’t Stop Hooking Up (VIDEO)

In this sneak peek for this week’s The Vampire Diaries, the show is still maintaining the ruse that Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) goes to high school. Or, maybe not given that Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) are at Mystic Falls High for a parent-teacher conference. On the agenda while they wait for said meeting to begin: Jeremy’s possible affair with witch Liv and the tons of sex Delena has been having. Not necessarily in that order.

Elena seems none too pleased with Damon in this sneak peek for Season 5, Episode 17 (“Rescue Me”). The two are sitting in an empty classroom, waiting for Jeremy’s teacher to show up, and Elena’s not sure why Damon is even there. He explains: “You left me in charge of Jeremy when you went off to Whitmore. I had this on my calendar for months.” Was having Enzo kidnap and nearly kill Jer also on your calendar, Damon?

Elena also questions Damon’s given motive, and her ex-boyfriend-with-benefits quickly gives up the ruse: “Oh, come on. Don’t pretend like you’re not still tingly from this morning.” But Elena doesn’t want to talk about how she and Damon can’t keep their hands off one another. She wants to talk about Jeremy. So, Damon bites. Apparently, he saw Jeremy drinking with Liv at the Grill that very morning.

“Jeremy wouldn’t do that to Bonnie,” Elena exclaims. Apparently, Damon has a better memory than her.

“Again,” Damon awesomely quips. “Need I remind you that he once had an affair with a ghost? And the only thing that was missing was a sappy love song and a pottery wheel.” Yes! The Ghost reference we’ve been waiting for since Season 3.

The Vampire Diaries airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
