Pretty Little Liars Season 5, Episode 3 Synopsis — Ali’s Lies Exposed in “Surfing the Aftershocks”
Ali’s latest lie hits the Liars hard in Season 5, Episode 3 (“Surfing the Aftershocks”) of Pretty Little Liars. According to the synopsis for the episode, the Liars are stuck covering their tracks after “being forced to live through Ali’s latest lie.”
We wonder what this could mean. Obviously, Ali is keeping more than a few secrets from the Liars, but we wonder which one gets exposed in this episode — why would the Liars need to cover their tracks? This might be referring to how the Liars ended up in New York City. After all, it’s not like Ali is going to come clean about “A” anytime soon. So naturally, Detective Holbrook is probably curious as to how the Liars tracked down their former friend.
The Liars will try to “piece together what happened in New York,” while Hanna and Aria “have to close loose ends with the two people who know the truth about Ali’s story – Mona and Ezra.” Are Hanna and Aria looking for any last minute clues, or are they trying to get them to stay quiet? Hanna will also start “to examine who she really is – Hefty Hanna or Queen Bee Hanna – now that Ali is back.” We know Ali’s homecoming is going to hit Hanna the hardest, and we have a feeling “Surfing the Aftershocks” will mark Hanna’s downward spiral.
Meanwhile, “Spencer and Emily try to find out the truth about Jason and his whereabouts the night they were in New York.” This must mean Jason is an “A” suspect — or at least at the top of the Liars’ list when it comes to unmasking who shot Ezra on the roof. But could Jason really be the one terrorizing his sister? We’ll have to wait and find out!
