Pretty Little Liars Season 5, Episode 6 Title Revealed — Run, [SPOILER], Run!

With filming on Pretty Little Liars Season 5 well underway, much attention has been given to Season 5, Episode 5 — aka the 100th episode — but we have our eye on Season 5, Episode 6. Mostly because of the killer title for the installment. What is the episode called?

Season 5, Episode 6 will be called “Run, Ali, Run!” This may be our favorite Pretty Little Liars episodic title ever. Not only does it relay a sense of danger for our girl Ali (Sasha Pieterse), but it seems to be a play on the awesome German film Run Lola Run. For those unfamiliar, the 1999 action thriller follows Lola, who has twenty minutes to get 10,000 Deutsche Mark or her boyfriend will die. But there’s a catch! The film doesn’t just show one possible playing out of this scenario, but three. It’s totally worth a watch, but be warned, you will want to dye your hair red by the end of it.

Pretty Little Liars often borrows titles from other bits of popular culture, but doesn’t necessarily borrow plot or formula as well. We hope that this episode is the exception to that rule. We’d love to see a PLL episode that plays out three different scenarios of Ali trying to get out of a dire predicament. The former mean girl is heading back into the lion’s den (read: Rosewood) in Season 5, and we can only imagine the kinds of torture “A” has in mind for her. Ali’s return represents a huge opportunity for Pretty Little Liars, which has relied on the same formula for four seasons. With Ali back, the show has the chance to explore her character in more in-depth and tangible ways and as a result, explore the Liars’ characters in new ways.

What do you think of the title? Do you think PLL might embrace the alternate scenarios formula? Sound off in the comments below!
