Pretty Little Liars Season 5, Episode 7 — 10 Burning Questions From “The Silence of E. Lamb”
Another Pretty Little Liarsepisode, another batch of burning questions we need answered. Season 5, Episode 7 (“The Silence of E. Lamb”) dropped some major clues in the mystery of what happened to Bethany Young, Mrs. DiLaurentis, and Toby’s mother, but it left us with even more questions. Here are our top 10 burning questions from this week’s ep!
What did Bethany know? We still don’t know how Bethany ended up dead in the DiLaurentis’ backyard, but it seems that it has something to do with whatever happened to Toby’s mom. What did Bethany know that got her killed? And how was Mrs. DiLaurentis involved?
Is Eddie Lamb dead? We spent this entire episode waiting for someone to kill Eddie off. Does the Radley nurse’s failure to show up at his meeting with Ezra mean he is dead or just delayed? Frankly, with all of the secrets Eddie seems to know, we’re surprised he’s made it this long.
What has Melissa done out of love? In this week’s episode, Melissa told Spencer that the murders and lies in Rosewood were “about love.” It certainly seemed like Melissa was talking from personal experience — or at least knows exactly why people keep ending up dead. What has Melissa done out of love? Has she kept murderous secrets for someone she loves. Could she have done some murdering herself?
Is Sydney “A”? DrunkHanna let slip to Sydney that the Liars have a connection to Shana and New York, and “A” almost immediately used it against Hanna in a text message to the other Liars. How did “A” find this out so quickly? Is Sydney “A”? Working for "A"?
Whose side is Noel Kahn on? Another episode, another Noel Kahn reference. Why does this dude keep getting brought up? And whose side is he on? Ali seems to trust him, but he also has both past and (as evidenced by the notebook Mona had in last night’s ep) current connections to Mona.
Are the Fitzgeralds involved in the “A” game? Another party that keeps getting mentioned is Ezra’s family, the Fitzgeralds. Is this just a way to give Ezra more backstory, or do his shady parents actually have something to do with the “A” game? They certainly have the funds to make the “A” game possible. Might they have a Radley connection? Or are we barking up the wrong family tree?
Does Alison have a twin? Holy twin clues! Last night’s episode was full of visual and verbal references to Alison having a twin— or at least someone who looks exactly like her. Was the girl Spencer caught on camera lurking outside of her house Alison or her twin sister?
What is “A” planning for Ella’s engagement party? The episode’s epilogue featured “A” carefully going through the Fields family's mail — specifically, an invitation to the engagement party for Ella Montgomery and The Muffin Man. What does “A” have planned? Is she going to sabotage Ella’s fairy tale romance?
Is anything Ali says truth? Ali wove a tale of woe at Pam’s dinner, musing on how she blamed herself for her “kidnapping.” Hanna became increasingly pissed at Ali’s lies, but we’re so confused about what happened to Ali while she was gone that we’re not ever sure what is a lie and what is the truth. Is there a chance that Ali really was kidnapped for some of the time she was away? Regardless, are her feelings of shame truthful? Perhaps.
