Pretty Little Liars Season 5, Episode 7 Sneak Peek: Emily Confronts Mona (VIDEO)

Emily (Shay Mitchell) is on the hunt in next week’s episode of Pretty Little Liars. In this sneak peek, we see her grilling Mona (Janel Parrish) about the rat left in Paige’s locker in the last episode. What does Mona have to say about the incident?

In the minute-long video, Emily approaches Mona in the school hallway with Sydney (Chloe Bridges) in tow. It seems Paige has stayed home from school because she is scared of what else might happen to her. “What do you know about this?” Emily barks at Mona.

“Oh the rat! It makes me irk just to think about it. Hey, Sydney,” Mona says in an awesome nod to the fact that Sydney is in Mona’s Army and is the most likely suspect for placing the rat in Paige’s locker. “Such a creepy thing to do as sweet as Paige.”

We’re digging the amount of dramatic irony in this scene. We the audience know that Sydney is in cahoots with Mona, but there is still so much we don’t know — like how Noel Kahn is involved for instance. When Mona mentions that the dead rat sounds like something a boy would do, Emily suggests Noel Kahn because Mona is holding a notebook with his name scrawled on it.

“He lent me his notes. As a favor,” Mona explains before making her exit. Emily and Sydney watch her go, probably thinking the same thing we are: Mona’s hiding something. But not just about the rat. What is she doing with Noel’s notes? We thought Noel Kahn was on Ali’s side. Has he changed sides? Is he a double agent? Or has Mona done something to him? Whatever the answer, we hope the Kahnster is in the next episode. It’s been far too long.

Who do you think put the rat in Paige’s locker? How is Noel Kahn involved? Share your theories in the comments below!
