Pretty Little Liars Season 5, Episode 7 Synopsis — “The Silence of E. Lamb”

We have the synopsis for Season 5, Episode 7 (“The Silence of E. Lamb”) of Pretty Little Liars, and it’s full of tantalizing clues! It sounds like the Liars are getting more proactive about their “A” game offense and defense as both Aria (Lucy Hale) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) “go to great lengths to get answers” and Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Hanna (Ashley Benson) are “put in uncomfortable positions” on the home front. Read on to find out more!

The Liars are getting down to business in Episode 7. Apparently, Aria will begin volunteering at Radley as a way to find out more about “a patient of interest to the Liars.” And before you speculate that this patient is “Big Rhonda,” the new character teased by TVLine a few months ago, think again. The synopsis makes mention of “an aggressive patient that may be the key to what the Liars are looking for.” That sounds more like the description we’ve gotten for Rhonda, but who is the other patient? Could it be Eddie Lamb himself?

Meanwhile, Spencer hits Ezra up for some of his high-tech surveillance equipment in order to “keep a closer eye on the home front.” The spied-upon becomes the spy! In other Rosewood news, Alison (Sasha Pieterse) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) are not getting along, causing no end of awkwardness for Hanna. And Emily’s mom invites Ali over for dinner, causing no end of awkwardness for Emily. Guys, this sounds like a really good episode. Aside from there not being any Toby in it, of course. It’s scheduled to air July 22.

Catch the next episode of Pretty Little Liars on July 8, 2014 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
