Arielle Kebbel is back with her hilarious, high-intensity rehash of The Vampire Diaries. This week, she’s setting her snark on Season 5, Episode 9 (“The Cell”). What did she — and the many Twitter followers — think about 1950s Damon, the Steferine hookup, and those brutal eye-cutting torture scenes? Read on to find out!
“This episode left me speechless — and y’all know, I’m never speechless,” Arielle stated in this week’s rehash, but the former TVDer soon found plenty to comment on. Like the hotness of the Steferine hookup, for starters.
“It’s good Stefan’s feeling better because Damon and Elena are really gonna need his help. If he’s not too distracted,” Arielle observed. Word. We’ll see if Stefan isn’t too busy with Katherine to notice his other loved ones are currently Augustine vamps.
“And then Damon gave a first-hand account of all the fun he had in the ‘50s,” Arielle said, heavy on the sarcasm considering Damon routinely had his eye chopped out, was starved of blood, and had to eventually turn his emotions off so he could leave his best friend to die in a fiery building. But there was one pleasant tinge to the 1950s flashbacks. Well, besides Damon’s sexy ‘50s ‘do, that is.
“I agree: it was tough to watch those flashbacks. But, hey, how bout that 12144, amirite? Ladies…” Yeah, Arielle, we can probably all agree on the sexiness of new character Enzo (Michael Malarkey) — that husky voice alone! Too bad he and Damon had such a falling out.
Heading into this week’s last new episode of the year — Season 5, Episode 10 (“Fifty Shades of Grayson”) — we all have some questions we want answered. We’ll let Arielle summarize some of them for you: “Who will save Damon and Elena? Will Aaron become mini-Wes? Will Stefan and Katherine — no, sorry. Sorry. I promised I wouldn’t go there.”
