Pretty Little Liars Season 5, Episode 9 Review — The Noel Kahn Game

Pretty Little Liars has been on a hot streak of good episodes. Did Season 5, Episode 9 (“March of Crimes”) keep up the good work?

This was another solid outing. We're kinda loving this season a lot!

Now that Alison (Sasha Pieterse) has proven she's willing to manipulate even her friends the other Liars are starting to doubt her, which makes for interesting dynamics. We like that the Liars are pushing back and investigating on their own. And what investigations they are! We have so many questions about Sydney, Jenna (Tammin Sursok), and Noel Kahn (Brant Daugherty) right now, and we can't wait to uncover more answers.

Also, any episode with hot hot Noel gets a thumbs up from us. And we loved his scene with Spencer. It was nice to see what's going through his head. Though we still want to know his motivations. What does Ali have on him?

Hanna (Ashley Benson) continues to be the MVP of the season (it was nice to see Aria [Lucy Hale] apologize), and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) gets bonus points this week for 100 percent believing her about Zack. If only they could kick that alcohol problem...

Speaking of Zack, we also adored the scene between Ella (Holly Marie Combs) and Byron (Chad Lowe). Fantastic work by Holly Marie Combs; we were in tears right along with her.

Oh, and let's not even talk about that twist at the end! Can't wait to see what this guy is all about.

We give it stars. What about you?
