So, it seems that Hanna is pretty pissed about that whole Having Noel Kahn Break Into the Marins And Pretend To Be a Crazy Kidnapper thing. When Alison tries to talk to her about it the next morning at school, she completely misses the point: “Hanna, I’m sorry about what happened last night. I’ll pay for the window,” Ali tells her. Oh, Ali. You can’t really be this clueless when it comes to human emotions — otherwise, you wouldn’t be so good at manipulation.
“It’s not about the window,” Hanna informs her. “Your stupid stunts affect a lot of people.” Ali asks if she’s referring to Hanna’s mom or Aria, who is mad at Hanna for accusing Zack of hitting on her. Ali offers to talk to Aria for Hanna, put in a good word, that sort of thing.
Hanna is not interested: “I don’t want you doing anything. At all. I just want to be left alone. And I think it’s best if you just stay with one of the other girls.”
Ali laments on the implosion of their friend-group: “Han, what’s happening to us? Our group is falling apart.” Before Hanna can answer, Jenna slinks into the room and Hanna makes her getaway. Ali tells Jenna she didn’t realize she had re-enrolled at Rosewood High.
“I came back a few weeks ago,” Jenna informs her. “Nobody seemed to notice, but, then again, I didn’t come back from the dead.” Awesome. Somebody give Jenna more lines. We’ve missed her.
