Glee Season 5 Finale: “Problems” Ahead For Klaine and Samcedes
Just when things were finally settling down for Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss), Ryan Murphy and his writing staff will be throwing even more obstacles their way. They got past Blaine’s extra poundage in “Tested” and “Opening Night” was all about rallying around Rachel (Lea Michele) for her big Funny Girl debut, but starting with next week’s installment, “The Back-Up Plan,” we can expect some friction between the two lovebirds which will likely last through the Season 5 finale.
As the promo for next Tuesday’s hour shows, Kurt is enlisted to perform for a wealthy socialite (Shirley MacLaine) and he brings Blaine along for fun. The only problem? This loaded lady ends up being more impressed with Blaine and forgets about Kurt. Ooops. In fact, instead of performing for the rich and famous, Kurt lands a role at a retirement home, not exactly the big break he hoped for.
Ryan confirmed Klaine’s upcoming rough patch to TVLine, telling the site that the engaged duo will encounter new “problems.”
And it turns out Kurt and Blaine aren’t even the only pair with issues on the horizon. New couple Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Mercedes (Amber Riley) will hit a bump as well as they contemplate spliting up to save their respective careers. They may have just gotten together, but in the spirit of full disclosure we totally saw this doubt coming.
Do you think Sam and Mercedes are strong enough to stay together, or are they better off apart? And what about Kurt and Blaine? Feel free to share all your thoughts and fears below!
Glee Season 5 airs Tuesday nights on FOX at 8 p.m. ET.
