The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 5 Finale Has Lowest Ratings Ever

After an entire season of mediocre plotlines and subpar drama, The Real Housewives of New Jersey closed out Season 5 with its lowest finale ratings ever. According to Bravo Ratings, the show’s finale and Andy Cohen’s in-depth interview with Teresa and Joe Giudice were combined, and they still produced lackluster results.

The finale eked out a little more than 2.5 million viewers. The second lowest finale was for Season 3 in October 2011, which brought in 2.6 million viewers. All of the other finales have gotten more than 3 million viewers.

We certainly haven’t given up on the Jersey Housewives, but hopefully there will be some major changes made in Season 6. Caroline Manzo is likely leaving the show to focus on her spin-off, Manzo’d With Children, but her exit leaves an opening that many believe will be filled by her sister and OG cast member Dina Manzo.

Wetpaint Entertainment exclusively learned that Teresa Giudice’s legal troubles will be featured heavily in Season 6, so maybe that drama will help spice up the storyline.

Unfortunately Tre and Juicy Joe have been charged with 39 counts of federal fraud and are each facing up to 50 years in prison, so if they are sentenced, that could mean the end of the drama and the show.
