The Walking Dead Season 5: “Grab Your Tissues,” Prepare to Freak Out — Over Who Dies?

We’re already freaking out about whatever is coming in The Walking Dead Season 5. All of the teases so far have us prepared for an insane amount of plot and action, some disturbing material, and cool new characters. But more deaths are also coming, and we can’t help but look at the cast list and wonder who won’t be with us by the end of Season 5.

Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) just had a great new interview with The Huffington Post, and they asked if there are any episodes coming up that fans will freak out over. Norman answered, “Yeah, there'll be several. I can’t tell you if or who would die but it is ‘The Walking Dead,’ we sort of have a track record of being fearless when it comes to that sort of thing. Grab your tissues.”

Uh oh. Fearless. Tissues. Judith? Or one of the Atlanta originals? There was that whole rumor about a particular major character dying and it looked like it was debunked, but you never know.

Daryl himself seems to be safe, for now, but Norman will be right there with the rioters if anything happens to him.

Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) (who’d better be safe too) recently talked to Gold Derby about the emotional impact of the new season. “Certainly the first few episodes just — there are no holds barred,” Andy said. “We come out of the blocks at full speed. So it's an interesting experience, because it's almost like we jump back into the middle of the heart of darkness. I think the first few episodes — I'm not allowed to say numbers — I think the first few episodes that I’ve read are astonishing. Not only for the energy and the emotional impact, but just story — how they are able to develop character in amongst this incredible thrill ride. I'm really, really excited by it."

So even with all the action we’ll have emotional impact and character development. Are you worried for anyone in particular, within the first half of Season 5 (which is all they’ve done so far)? Whose death would require the most tissues from you?

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October on AMC.
