The Walking Dead Season 5 Midseason Finale Spoilers: Scott Wilson Spotted on Set For This Character’s Last Episode?

Characters coming back from the dead — via dreams, hallucinations, or flashbacks — is nothing new for the world of The Walking Dead, so when we heard rumors that Hershel Greene (Scott Wilson) might pop up in some form or another in the show’s Season 5 midseason finale, we weren’t all that surprised. In fact, Hershel, who died in the Season 4 midseason finale, has already reappeared once so we wouldn’t put it past him to do it again. What are the latest rumors claiming? Read on to find out!

According to The Spoiling the Dead Fans Facebook page, Scott was spotted on set in early August, when the cast was reportedly hard at work on the midseason finale. Keep in mind that the below blurb is part of a larger post of evidence that Beth will die in the midseason finale, but it’s convincing nonetheless.

The post states as follows:

It’s known that past actors often visit the set. Even for deaths. Scott Wilson was reported and confirmed by sources and multiple people on the ground as being at the hospital location August 6th. The one and only time Scott has been spotted this season just happens to be the MSF, the same location his tv daughter had been filming. If Scott were to show up for a death scene, you would think it would have to be for either one of his "daughters" or one of the originals.

We hate to say it, but we agree with that logic. While Scott/Hershel may not be on screen at all in Season 5, he seems like the kind of stand up guy who would support his TV daughter on her last day of filming. So if Beth really does die in the Season 5 midseason finale (as overwhelming evidence seems to suggest) his presence on set makes total sense.

Do you think Scott was really seen on set? Will Beth be the midseason finale death this year? Tell us your thoughts and theories below and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Facebook!

The Walking Dead Season 5 airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
