The Walking Dead Season 5: Is Norman Reedus Already Headed to Set?
Warning: Termite extinction is imminent! The Walking Dead Season 5 will soon start filming in Georgia, and it looks like the cast is preparing to converge. Look out, Gareth.
Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) recently finished filming his movie, Air — and just in time, since we need our “archer” back. Norman posted a photo of Daryl on April 18, writing, “Back to this!!! HELL YEAH!!!!” Michael Cudlitz (Abraham Ford) retweeted Norman’s note, adding, “Yup !! --> (see ya in a week).”
So it looks like late April is when the cast will arrive on set, with filming starting in early May — which matches last year's schedule. We’re excited to get the Season 5 ball rolling, and very curious to hear the cast’s reactions to the scripts. The actors don’t get the pages far in advance, so they’re as anxious as the rest of us to learn what happens next to Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and company.
As you know, we last left most of Team Prison in a Terminus train car, in Season 4 finale scenes that were filmed in the Atlanta area back in November. Now they are picking up the story, hopefully right where they left it, and we’ll see the results in October. We envy the cast their early knowledge when we’ll have to settle for hints and teases for the next six months!
