Glee Season 5 Music: Ryan Murphy Teases Darren Criss and Lea Michele Duet

Glee fans love a good duet, particularly when the two songbirds involved are Blaine (Darren Criss) and Rachel (Lea Michele). We’ve already seen these mega-talents weave vocal magic with the duets “Don’t You Want Me” and, during West Side Story, “One Hand, One Heart.” So will they add to that way too short list in Season 5?

The answer, thankfully, is yes! Show creator Ryan Murphy says a Rachel and Blaine sing-along is in the works. When quizzed by a fan on Twitter if any duets between the two were planned for the upcoming season, Ryan responded with a simple “Yes.” That’s enough for us! As long as there’s hope, right?

This might not be the only high-powered duo we can expect, either. One Glee fan summed up our feelings exactly when she tweeted Ryan, “Please tell me Chris [Colfer] and Adam [Lambert] sing together. Just one song. Please. I’m literally begging on the ground.” Once again, Ryan’s answer was short and sweet: “Yep.”

Seeing as Adam’s character Starchild is suppose to be Kurt’s rival, this could make for one spicy number. We suggest a revamp of the classic frenemies anthem, “Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better).”
