Let’s be honest, we don’t need any other reasons to watch Glee (in our opinion the show has improved tremendously since relocating to New York full-time) but the ratings for Season 5 on the one time hit have been the lowest the series has ever seen, so this latest news isn’t that surprising. But don’t worry, we think you’ll be very happy!
On April 14, Glee creator Ryan Murphy tweeted an exciting announcement “Lea, Darren, Chord, myself and some special guest stars will be LIVE TWEETING TOGETHER during tomorrow's new Glee episode. Ask us anything,” he wrote. Um, say what?! We don’t ever remember the cast live-tweeting an episode (with the possible exception of the series premiere back in 2009) so this is truly terrific news, especially given the fact that Ryan, Lea Michele (Rachel), Darren Criss (Blaine), and Chord Overstreet (Sam) are all participating! By special guest stars we hope Ryan means Amber Riley (Mercedes), but we won’t know for sure until 8 p.m. ET on April 15.
As for that “ask us anything” directive, we know you gleeks will take it to heart and hopefully we’ll get some great insight into Season 5, Episode 16: “Tested” as well as some teases about what’s to come.
Based on what we know so far, “Tested” features Artie (Kevin McHale) getting an STD (yuck) while Mercedes goes to Rachel for some sex advice with regards to her burgeoning relationship with Sam. We bet that you guys are just loaded with questions, so start keeping track of them so you can hit Ryan, Lea, Darren, Chord, and others with a good query tomorrow!
Will you be tweeting the Glee stars questions tomorrow during their “Tested” live-chat, or would you prefer to sit back and read all of their answers? Tell us your plans below!
Glee Season 5, Episode 16: “Tested” airs April 15 on FOX at 8 p.m. ET.
