Santana (Naya Rivera) has always had fierce style to match her no-nonsense attitude, but now the Lima Heights native is getting a bit of a makeover fresh off her vacation in Lesbos with her on-again-off-again gal pal Brittany (Heather Morris).

OK so there aren’t any major changes afoot for Santana, but when she returns from her lovey-dovey vacay with Brit, Ms. Lopez will have a decidedly lighter ‘do. Naya Instagrammed a photo of her on-screen alter-ego last week sporting honey-colored locks, a clear departure from her darker brown hair of the past. “Sneak peek,” she wrote alongside the sweet snap.

Naya elaborated on the hair change-up in a subsequent tweet on April 4, noting, “Uh oh guess what...? Santana's going blonde! Two scenes today with @msleamichele.” Santana has been missing from the most recent Glee episodes, but before she jetted off to Lesbos she managed to work through her problems with Rachel (Lea Michele) in Season 5, Episode 14: “New New York”, so we’re looking forward to not one but two Pezberry scenes. Will these gals keep the peace, or does something else come between them? We’ll have to wait a bit to find out, so let’s get back to Santana’s new hair.

Blonde may be a new color for the former Broadway understudy, but as fans of Naya are likely aware the actress has been gradually lightening her own hair (perhaps in an effort to truly transform herself into a Kardashian) so we’re guessing producers will just incorporate that into Santana’s storyline somehow. Although now that Naya’s engagement to Big Sean is officially off, another change of hairstyle could be in store shortly.

What do you think of Santana’s blonde hair? Sound off below!

Glee Season 5 airs Tuesday nights on FOX at 8 p.m. ET.
