Glee Season 5: [Spoiler] and [Spoiler] Expecting a Baby — Confirmed!
UPDATE: Matthew Morrison (Will) pretty much confirmed it in an new TV Guide interview. Will and Emma are going to have a baby! "Mr. Schue is going to have a family pretty soon, so I can't see him leaving his family and then following his Broadway dreams unless he packs up the kid," Matt said. There you have it: Emma's about to get pregnant. Congrats!
Original story: We’re thrilled for Glee star Jayma Mays (Emma), whose CBS sitcom The Millers continues to be one of the most-watched new shows of the season. Sadly, we won’t be seeing much more of her on Glee: She only has two episodes left, which proves that not every situation in life can be a win-win.
However, a silver lining to Emma’s storyline coming to an end is the fact that she and husband Will (Matthew Morrison) just might have a little music fan of their own in the oven. While we haven’t heard anything certain about it, we have a hunch that Emma will be revealed to be pregnant in Season 5, Episode 10: "Trio." Start passing out the cigars!
Okay, here’s what we do know — and why we’re convinced that Emma is about to start using hand sanitizer for two. Based on the rumored song list for the episode, Emma and Will are set to perform a duet of the Loggins and Messina tune, “Danny’s Song.”
In case you’re not up on your ‘70s soft rock — and if you’re not, you should really be ashamed — “Danny’s Song” is a love song about welcoming a new baby. Case in point: The lyrics in the first verse are, “Think I'm gonna have a son / He will be like she and me, as free as a dove, conceived in love.” Nothing subtle about that, right?
Plus, Jayma herself hinted at the news in an interview with TV Lineback in November 2013. “From what I understand, it’s a really good episode for her and for Will,” Jayma said about “Trio.” “So [the producers are] telling me to be excited!” Sounds like it could be referring to pregnancy, no?
We’re practically squealing from excitement as we write this, since Wemma will be amazing parents! That said, we’re not sure exactly how Emma’s absence from the show will be explained, or how Schue will manage to end up in NYC with the rest of the cast. But who cares about details like that when there’s a freakin’ baby on the way?!
Do you think Wemma is going to have a baby — or will the couple be singing “Danny’s Song” about something else?
