Pretty Little Liars Season 5 Spoilers: A “Dark, Tragic Revelation” Will Change Everything

Pretty Little Liars is playing it old school in Season 5, Episode 10 (“A Dark Ali”), featuring a “dark, tragic revelation” that hails back to the series pilot. Could this be the episode that changes the entire season and show?

“Attention @ABCFpll fans...this week's ep features a dark, tragic revelation that goes all the way back to the pilot. #PLL,” TV Guide writer Damian Holbrook tweeted yesterday, upping our anticipation for this episode. With only two episodes left until the “#fAtalfinale”, we’re worried what this revelation could mean for the characters we know and love.

We are particularly intrigued by the detail that, whatever this dark revelation is, it references the show’s pilot episode. A lot of crazy stuff went down in the inaugural installment of this twisted show, and most of it was not good for our Liars or their loved ones. If you need a memory jog, we don’t blame you. The Pretty Little Liars pilot aired in 2010! Here are some of the highlights:

— What was assumed to be Ali’s body was discovered in the DiLaurentis’ backyard. It was actually Bethany Young’s.

— Hanna was caught shoplifting.

— Spencer met Wren.

— “A” first texted the Liars at Ali’s funeral.

— Jenna returned to town following The Jenna Thing.

— Maya moved to town, and met Emily.

— Aria flashbacked to the time she and Ali caught Byron Montgomery having an affair.

— Ezra met Aria at a Hollis bar, pretending not to know her.

— We first saw the flashback to the sleepover on the night of Ali’s disappearance.

Could one of these details come into play in tonight’s episode? If so, which one? Share your theories in the comments below!
