The creative forces behind The CW’s Vampire Diaries are a very creative bunch of folk — just look at the insane storylines that have captivated us throughout four seasons. This year, we’re getting some very useful insight before each episode, and our hints for Season 5. Episode 2: “True Lies” are very helpful — well, kinda.
Last night, Joshua Butler, who directed the October 10 episode, tweeted, “Words to describe tomorrow night's #TVD: Romantic. Erotic. Kinky. Dark. Funny. Scary. Exciting. Emotional. Epic.” Hmm, that’s not a lot to go off of considering these words can describe pretty much any episode of TVD — though we’re still super stoked.
This is kind of like executive producer Caroline Dries’s cryptic description of the Season 5 premiere last week. She took to Twitter to say, “Kissing. kissing. kissing. murder. kissing. kissing. kissing. death. #TVD tomorrow!”
Now that we’ve seen the premiere, it’s uncanny how accurate Caroline’s description was. With lots of kissing between Damon and Elena (and even a little action between Rebekah and Matt) and the death of Megan and Bonnie’s dad.
So if Joshua’s tweet is any indication of how this episode is going to go down, there won’t be any deaths, but it will be a wild ride of emotions ending with the “epic” ending that TVD gives us with the end of each and every episode. We can’t wait!
What do you think Joshua’s tweet means? Are you excited? Hit the comments and let us know!
The Vampire Diaries airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
