Is it too soon for a sigh of relief?

The Walking Dead Season 5 is now filming in Griffin, GA, around an Easy Shop supermarket, among other places. The Spoiling Dead Fans is all over it, as usual, and they gave us hope when revealing some cast members who were on set for the Friday, June 20 shoot.

"Eugene, Maggie and Glenn have all walked to set," they wrote at one point, then added, referencing the actors instead of the characters: "Steven, Lauren and Josh are a in costume and on set." They followed up with the photo you can see below, writing "Steven, Lauren, Christian and Josh at The Easy Shop."

They are still sharing updates as June 20th progresses, but so far that's Glenn, Maggie, Eugene, and Rosita. Spoil the Dead also has eyes at the scene, and they've seen even more cast members so far, including Abraham, Sasha and Tara. (Spoiling Dead later added, "Norman has arrived and Chandlers stunt double is on set." So that might add Daryl and also Carl, even if Chandler was not there himself and had to use his stunt double. Unless that person doubles for several characters.)

So if Steven was dressed as Glenn on set, that would help to dispel the rumor that Glenn was killed off in a death scene shot a few weeks ago. That rumor was already challenged, but you never know what's true one way or the other.

But even if Glenn is alive and well, it was always possible that that death scene was for a different character. There was only the thought that it might be Glenn, for valid reasons, but it could've been another character. (Why isn't Bob's name listed with Sasha and his usual group? Should we read into that?)

So as much as we want to sigh with relief for Glenn, we're always braced for more deaths on a show with a name like The Walking Dead. But if Glenn is alive and well, no wonder Robert Kirkman was fine with the rumor about him!

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October on AMC.
