When we last saw Daario Naharis (Michiel Huisman) on Game of Thrones, he was showing his butt and getting busy with Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), but Dany then immediately sent him away to Yunkai to negotiate with their leaders. Will Daario be stuck in Yunkai in Season 5? Will he continue his relationship with Dany? Will he show his butt again? Read on to find out!

In the books, Daario and Dany continue to have a relationship when he returns from his peacekeeping mission. However, all is not well in Meereen. The streets are full of violence conducted by those loyal to the old ways, and Daario begs Dany to let him stop it with, well, more violence.
But there is an alternative plan. Hizdahr zo Loraq (remember him? The hot son of a nobleman Dany had killed?) tells Dany that if she marries him and they rule together, he can use his slave master connections to quell the violence. Even though she wants Daario, Dany marries Hizdahr, and Daario becomes furious. He is then sent away to Yunkai as a hostage to keep the peace between Yunkai and Meereen, and he remains there during the upcoming war between Meereen and Yunkai.
There really doesn’t sound like much for Daario to do in Season 5, but his actor has being promoted to the main cast, so we expect to see a lot of him. One interesting fan theory is that Daario is in actuality Euron Greyjoy, the uncle of Theon, who returns to the Iron Islands to claim its thrown while Daario is away from Meereen. The theory is admittedly pretty out there, but if Daario shows up in Pyke next season with an eyepatch, then all bets are off!
