The Walking Dead Season 5: First Two Episodes Will “Blow Your Pants Off”

Tighten your belts, everybody! The Walking Dead Season 5 just started shooting in Atlanta, and it sounds like things are going well.

Or, as Chandler Riggs' (Carl Grimes) dad, William Riggs, put it: "Wow. TWD Season 5 episodes 1 & 2 will blow your pants off. That is all. #WalkingDead #TWDSeason5PlotTwist."

No pants are safe!

But the first two episodes, eh? They are still shooting the premiere right now, but our old buddy David Morrissey (The Governor) once told The A.V. Club, “They’re eight-day shoots — we get the next episode four days into our shoot, so on that fourth day, we all disappear to our trailer and read the next episode.”

In an April 11 interview with MTV, comic book writer/TV show executive producer Robert Kirkman said, “I just turned in the second episode script for Season 5, and all the writers are hard at work on their individual episodes. We're pretty much halfway through the fifth season, script-wise. And we've already nailed down what our finale is, and what our overall arc of the season is. The back half of the season is taking shape very quickly, and we'll have all the scripts written by the summer.”

So maybe Kirkman himself is writing Episode 2.

Anyway, what’s up with this “plot twist” hashtag? Back on April 28, Chandler tweeted a photo with Larry Gilliard Jr. (Bob Stookey), writing, “Love going back to work with this guy! @gilliardl_jr #WalkingDead #TWDSeason5PlotTwist.”

And now his father is doing it. Actually a lot of people are having fun with that hashtag now, and you can read what they’ve come up with.

What will blow our pants off? whatever it is, it may be related to those screams

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October on AMC.
