Pretty Little Liars Season 5: What Did Melissa Whisper to Mr. Hastings? We’ll Know Soon!

If you’re anything like us, you were yelling at the TV screen for Melissa Hastings (Torrey DeVitto) to “speak a little louder, dammit!” when she whispered something to her father in the Pretty Little Liars Season 4 finale. Luckily, we won’t have to wait forever to discover what secret she was spilling to dear old dad. What did Melissa whisper to Mr. Hastings (Nolan North)? We’ll find out in Season 5.

Pretty Little Liars writer Joseph Dougherty took to Twitter to assuage fans that “You will find out this season” what Melissa whispered to her father in the police station. Thank gosh. Melissa is always keeping secrets from us, and we’ve had enough. Also: this one seemed to be particularly juicy as it seemed to have something to do with who murdered the girl in Ali’s grave — i.e. not Spencer — a mystery made potentially even more relevant by the murder of Mrs. DiLaurentis in the Season 4 finale. Are the murderers the same person? Does Melissa know who it is? Is it Melissa herself?

Of course, Season 5 is a long season. The reveal could come in the Season 5 premiere in June or the Season 5 finale, presumably sometime in March 2015. We’re hoping that, because Joseph’s tease came while the PLL Powers That Be are still hard at work on the first half of Season 5, the reveal will also come in that earlier half of the season. Fingers crossed.

What do you think Melissa whispered in Mr. Hastings ear? Do you think she had something to do with the death of the girl in Ali’s grave and/or the murder of Mrs. DiLaurentis? Sound off in the comments below!
