Seriously guys, where is Beth Greene (Emily Kinney)?
Beth was seemingly kidnapped in The Walking Dead Season 4, Episode 13: “Alone”, and taken by a group driving a white car with a cross on the back, and we have no idea where she is now. Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) is also in the dark about Beth’s whereabouts, though he attempted to catch the car but couldn’t keep up.
Beth’s kidnapping would have been upsetting under any circumstances, but we’re especially torn up about it because she’d just gotten closer to Daryl and started to come into her own. We didn’t see Beth in last Sunday’s Episode 14: “The Grove”, and by the looks of it, she will also be absent from this Sunday’s installment, “Us”.
Popsugar chatted with Emily about the remainder of Season 4 as well as what’s to come for her character in Season 5 … if she survives.
When asked if Season 4 ends with one of TWD’s epic cliffhangers, Emily reasoned, ”I’m sure, because then you know you’ll be wanting to tune in to the next season.” Her response is pretty typical for a TWD cast member (they aren’t allowed to reveal much of anything), but luckily executive producer and comic book creator, Robert Kirkman, already confirmed a cliffhanger ahead. “The cliffhanger at the end of season 4 will make the wait between seasons 4 and 5 the hardest wait we've ever had. ENJOY!,” he offered up.
Could the cliffhanger in question be about Beth? We’re totally speculating at this point, but maybe we get a glimpse of Beth in the finale, titled “A”, and we’ll have to wait until October 2014 to find out what kind of condition she’s in and if she’ll ever reunite with Team Prison. Granted, it’s unlikely that this cliffhanger will focus on a character like Beth, but you never know!
Emily’s response to whether or not we’ll see Beth in TWD Season 5 made us even more suspicious. “I can’t tell you anything! You’ll have to just wait and find out. No spoilers,” she concluded with a laugh.
Do you think the Season 4 cliffhanger has to do with Beth? Will we be seeing her in Season 5? Check out the full interview below and tell us your thoughts!
