Glee Season 6: Cory Monteith/Finn Will Be “A Part of it in Some Way”
Kevin McHale (Artie) has been spending some time in England where he’s been filming and promoting his new show, Virtually Famous, and during a recent chat with The Sun, he opened up about the final season of Glee and what the show has meant to him.
“We’re about to start filming our last season, but, as sad as that may be, I think that’s that,” he said. “We’ve had a really good run, and we’ve done some amazing storytelling, and we’ve got meet a lot of the fans around the world, which is pretty rare for a show to get to do.”
And while Kevin said Glee’s imminent end will be bittersweet, he noted that its a bit easier to accept since the cast found out two years ago that the show would be ending after Season 6. “It’s ending at a good point,” he reasoned. “We’ve seen the characters become young adults, and I think they’re going to wrap it up in a nice way.”
We may not know much about Glee’s final season just yet, since the start of filming was pushed back several weeks, but Kevin went on to reveal that he’s “sure” Cory Monteith (Finn) will be featured in some way.
Cory/Finn was honored in Season 5’s “The Quarterback”, and Finn has been mentioned several times on the show since his passing, so Kevin doesn’t think Season 6 will be any different.“His character was just an integral part of the show, so there’s really no way to go on and see these characters grow up without him being a part of it in some way,” he concluded.
