True Blood Season 6 Departure: Chloe Noelle Talks Playing Emma
While this Sunday’s episode of True Bloodmarked the departure of series regular Sam Lowe and his portrayal of the tortured but lovable Terry Bellefleur, we also lost another character we’ve come to know and love, albeit, under very different less murdery circumstances. Chloe Noelle, who has played the shifting daughter of Sam Merlotte’s girlfriend’s daughter Emma, bid her farewells last week, as Sam finally caved and sent her to live with grandmother, Martha.
USA Today interviewed Emma about the departure. The charming young actress shared that she was going to particularly miss working with Sam Trammell and Joe Manganiello — though she was loath to pick a favorite. “It's really hard to decide,” she said. “Both of them are so unbelievably nice, it's ridiculous.”
When asked about her favorite scenes over the course of her three seasons on True Blood, Noelle revealed herself to be a fan of the show’s gorier moments, talking about how scenes she shot running from The Authority gave her the chance to touch some real-life vampire goo. “It was so cool. It's really sticky, but it's warm." she added that "it's made with, like, ramen and cherry sauce. It's gross.” Emma is an animal-lover, and also still pines for the episode where Sam turning into a bunny meant she got to pet one on set.
Emma can’t say whether or not she’ll be back on the screen anytime soon, but in the True Blood world, anything is possible.
