Glee Season 6: Could Original Cast Members Become Part of Regular Cast Again?
The past two Glee episodes have been some of the best episodes of Season 5, since it's been such a blast to have the show's original cast members back. So is it possible that the originals could return to the show for good in Season 6?
We've already learned that several of the original cast members will have six-episode arcs in NYC during the second half of Season 5. And so, co-creator Ian Brennan was asked by TV Line whether any of these characters could return to the show on a permanent basis next season.
Ian reveals that this is unlikely, although it doesn't sound like any final decisions have been made as of yet. The show's producers have until July to finalize the cast members' Season 6 contracts.
Ian will reveal that one Season 1 character is being talked about as possibly returning for Season 6. He says that the writers' came up with an "awesome first-season callback to bring somebody back." He adds, "I can’t tell you what it was, but I went, 'Whoa.'" Intriguing!
So who do you think this Season 1 person might have been? Could it have been Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff)? Or maybe Shelby Corcoran (Idina Menzel)? Perhaps Karofsky (Max Adler) will be returning? Hmm. We hope to someday learn who Ian is referring to!
