After losing Season 5 to Adam Levine, Blake Shelton initially had a hell of a time getting artists to choose him as their coach. Nevertheless, he managed to sway some talented artists to pick him — after all, he still has three wins to his name! Here are the artists on Team Blake.
Jake Worthington made his first appearance on the show in Season 5, singing “Keep Your Hands to Yourself” by The Georgia Satellites. After being advised to work on his breath control and perhaps pick a slower song, the La Porte teen returned a second time, with a mid-tempo country classic: “Don’t Close Your Eyes” by Keith Whitley. Three chairs turned, but Jake’s heart is pure country, so it’s no surprise he hopped on the Blake train.
This young crooner was swayed to Team Blake probably due to his winning past and his connections with Michael Buble. The Massachusetts native, who attends Westfield State College as a music major, styles himself after old school singers like Frank Sinatra, but Blake promises to “roughen up” Noah Lis's vocals a little and make him more versatile as an artist.
Originally from Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, Megan Ruger may hail from Nashville these days, but she's a rocker chick at heart. Nevertheless, the Nashville drum beats strongly for this one, because she couldn't help but choose Blake as her coach.
