The Voice Season 6: Who Was Eliminated Tonight, May 13, 2014?

This is it, The Voice fans — the last elimination before the live finale next week. At this point in the game, no matter who goes home it's a little bit of a heartbreak, but this week's double elimination also means that at least one coach will be going into next week without a horse in this race.

But it wouldn't be Blake Shelton, whose last remaining artist, Jake Worthington was deemed safe at the beginning of the hour. After a couple performance by Season 5 also-rans Jacquie Lee and Will Champlin, Carson Daly announced that the second of the three finalists moving on is Team Usher's Josh Kaufman would also be moving forward. That meant both Team Adam Levine artists, Kat Perkins and Christina Grimmie must compete for the Twitter Save alongside Shakira's last remaining singer, Kristen Merlin.

After the return of Season 5 winner Tessanne Chin to The Voice stage, all three artists gave it their all with their sing-for-your-life performances. Kristen sang Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away," and though she seemed to struggle with the lower notes, she soared on the chorus and had a strong finish. Shakira encouraged voters to choose Kristen for the way she tells a story with her distinct voice.

Kat also sang a Carrie Underwood song, a very rock-n-roll rendition of "Good Girl." Usher said the rocker always comes out swinging and expressed his hope that she would make it through a third time. Her coach said that even when she's in the bottom, she puts all of herself into her performances and that's why he'll be pulling for her in the Twitter Save. However, he also has Christina Grimmie fighting for that final spot.

Singing OneRepublic's "Apologize," Christina sang to the rafters and left it all out on the stage, even shedding a few tears. Despite the fact that Adam said he was pulling for Kat just moments earlier, he told viewers that, if Christina made it through tonight, he knows in his heart of hearts that she'll win it all. We'll find out if he's true to his word next week, because the 20-year-old New Jersey singer won the Twitter Save and the final spot in the competition.

Sadly, that meant we had to say goodbye to two amazing women: Kristen and Kat. It also meant poor Shakira will again be a mere spectator in the finale next week.
