When we last left the citizens of Bon Temps in the True Blood Season 6 finale, new Mayor Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) proposed protecting humans from the Hep-V-infected vamps by pairing everyone up with a healthy vampire who would watch over their human charges in exchange for their blood. Some people supported Sam’s plans and others didn’t, but either way the horde of Hep-V-infected vamps we saw lurking in the distance didn’t bode well for the humans of Bon Temps.
TV Guide recently shared a spoiler about the start of Season 7, and let’s just say we’re glad we don’t live anywhere near BT, because those mutated vampires are out for blood. Literally.
The site notes, “When the HBO drama returns, the Hep-V-infected vampires that were poised to attack Bon Temps arrive and the bloodbath quickly ensues.” And although many of our favorite characters have a knack for escaping even the most dire of situations, it sounds like someone will be really unlucky at the start of Season 7.
“Unfortunately, the casualties are not just redshirts,” TV Guide continues. “In fact, one character's fate is so jaw-dropping that you'll spend the rest of the episode wondering if what you just watched was a dream. It's not, which clearly means all bets are off in this final season.”
Yikes, that’s an ominous warning if we ever heard one!
We doubt the show’s writers would kill of Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), and we sincerely hope they leave Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis) alone, but that’s just our opinion. If we had to guess who meets his or her “jaw-dropping” end we’d put our money on Sam or Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten). They’ve both been with the show since the beginning and either of their deaths would have a profound affect on the other characters. But again, we’re just giving it our best guess.
