Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 Finale: Are You Mad at Arizona?

As per our expectations, the Grey's Anatomy Season 9 finale (Season 9, Episode 24: "Perfect Storm") was packed with shocking scenes, but none stood out as much as Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona's (Jessica Capshaw) devastating, potentially relationship-ending fight. We're seeing very mixed reactions to Arizona after this episode, so we're interested to hear the perspective of you, the fan.

Some people found Arizona's part on the fight very understandable. Clearly, cheating was not the way to deal with her repressed anger at Callie, but for some fans that anger seemed very justified. Callie did spend the season acting as if she were one of the plane crash survivors, taking a very active role in both the lawsuit and the scheme to buy the hospital. Indeed, she practically acted like the leader of the group — and she wasn't there. Yes, she suffered because of the crash, too, but that's not the same as actually being stuck, dying, in the woods for days on end.

Others found Arizona completely unreasonable. Sure, Callie was a little pushy this year, and it's fair to call her out on that, but that doesn't excuse the cheating. Plus, as Callie pointed out, Arizona's anger really seemed to come down to her leg, as if Callie made the call to cut off her leg for the fun of it, and not to save her life. Seriously, Arizona. We understand that the loss of your leg was devastating, but the choice was your leg or your life. Did you really want Callie to let you die?

We see both sides. We thought the fight scene was incredibly well acted and, personally, we feel sorry for both women. But what do you think: Did you understand where Arizona was coming from, or do you think she was in the wrong?
