Secret Life of the American Teenager

Secret Life Star Francia Raisa Works to Stop Child Sex Slavery (VIDEO)

Secret Life of the American Teenager is over, and we’re all really sad — including the cast members! But that obviously doesn’t mean that we’ve seen the last of the beloved stars. Francia Raisa, at least, has been up to a lot since the finale filming wrapped in November.

In addition to finding some other acting work, Francia is working with the charity Unlikely Heroes to raise money to help child victims of sex trafficking! She even posted a video to YouTube showing her support: “My friend Erica runs a nonprofit called Unlikely Heroes. They save children from sex slavery. I know a lot of you don’t know what that’s like, but I know a lot of you know what it’s like to have family.”

“I’m an older sister,” she adds, “these kids have no family. I don’t know if some of them know where they came from.” She says these kids are kidnapped and violated at an early age, and Unlikely Heroes helps give them a safe home.

The star is raising money on Crowdrise to expand a facility in the Philippines to help young girls. If you want to help, the page to donate is right over here.
