Ariana Grande apparently doesn't appear to love "the way" Selena Gomez's concert performance went over the weekend.
The two singer-actresses both performed at the Jingle Ball concert at the Staples Center in L.A. on December 6, and sound issues reportedly made it clear that Selena was lip-synching, according to Hollywood Life.
Selena dealt with an audio malfunction toward the end of her set, and when her microphone when out, it was clear that she was lip-synching. Then, the mic suddenly went back on, but Selena didn't realize it, so the entire audience heard her loudly say to the stage crew, "What the f—k?" Clearly, Selena did not intend for the crowd to hear this.
Selena left the stage briefly as the stage went dark, but she returned and apologized for the issues, announcing that she would play two more songs. However, after only one additional song, Selena ran off the stage and did not return.
Ariana Grande performed later at the concert, and she had similar audio issues during her set. However, Ariana wasn't using a backing track, so her set was not disrupted in the same way that Selena's was.
During her set, Ariana let the audience know that she wasn't lip-synching with an apparent jab at Selena. "At least you know I wasn’t singing to a track," Ariana quipped onstage. Ouch!
However, after the set, Ariana took to Twitter to explain her comment. "I was just cracking a joke cause my mic was off," Ariana tweeted. "Everyone had tech difficulties. Sorry if it was taken the wrong way — it wasn't my intention!"
Do you think Ariana went too far with her onstage comment? And should Selena have apologized for dropping the f-bomb?
