Apparently all that "me" time Selena Gomez needed is turning into "we" time with family — and it's doing the trick!
On December 19, Selena announced that she would be canceling her Australian tour. "My fans are so important to me and I would never want to disappoint them," she said in a statement. "But it has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be."
Selena hit a rough patch a couple of weeks before that, when a Jingle Ball performance suffered some audio malfunctions and our girl dropped a frustrated f-bomb. It happens to the best of us, but she has to be enjoying this less stressful time away from the tour.
On Sunday, December 22, Selena shared this adorable photo with her little sister, Gracie. She also gave fans an update on her how she's doing. "I'm the happiest I've been in a while,” she wrote. “So blessed and thankful for the future, for release and to finally be happy for those I loved.."
Speaking of those she loved, Justin Bieber just recently told a radio station his ex-girlfriend Selena is "a great woman" and "I love her to this day." Do you think she was giving him a little shout-out in her post?
Speaking of those she still loves, just last month, while talking to E! News, Selena talked about how her sister Gracie was 5 months old and adorable. "I'm obsessed with her, and becoming a big sister has been ... I know I've had the responsibility to be a role model as support for girls, but when you have a little sister of your own, you kinda think, 'OK, this is legit.'"
Gracie was only born back in June, and Selena hit the road for her tour not too long after that. So maybe now she can spend some time bonding with her lil sis. She also said when her tour was done she’d go back into making movies, so that may be next...
