5 Serial Reality Stars — Speidi, Farrah Abraham & More
Reality TV isn’t for everyone, but for a few stars, it’s a way of life, if not a complete addiction. As they hopped from show to show, these serial reality stars have looked for love, undergone therapy, and even received plastic surgery — all while the cameras were rolling.
We first met Jamie on The Bachelor, where she hoped to get engaged to winemaker Ben Flajnik. Though that didn’t work out, she wasn’t done seeking a husband on reality TV. Jamie appeared on a season of Bachelor Pad 3 and a few years later reappeared on Married at First Sight, where she wed Doug Hehner.
Against all odds, the couple stayed together and chronicled their newlywed life in Married at First Sight: The First Year.
Farrah made her reality debut on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant, appearing in one of the first episodes of the docuseries before moving on to its spin-off, Teen Mom. She’s also appeared on VH1’s Couples Therapy (despite being single at the time).
That’s not all. She appeared on an episode of E! series Botched as well, and British audiences can now find her scheming to avoid eviction on Celebrity Big Brother.
The unstoppable force known as Speidi first made their mark on MTV’s The Hills, though we initially met Heidi Montag as Lauren Conrad’s friend during the second season of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.
The couple have since made just as memorable appearances on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, Celebrity Big Brother, and Millionaire Matchmaker, where they tried to help Spencer’s sister, Stephanie, find true love.
However, our favorite to this day has to be their turn on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. Who can forget Heidi’s tearful lamentations over her lost dry shampoo?
Mike first GTLed into our lives on MTV’s Jersey Shore. His entire family eventually got their own spin-off, The Sorrentinos, while he alone appeared on Dancing With the Stars in the U.S. and Celebrity Big Brother in the UK. The fist-pumping enthusiast also appeared with his girlfriend on Marriage Boot Camp.
“New York” is the once and future queen of VH1, having appeared in two seasons of Flavor of Love, followed by two seasons of her own dating series, I Love New York. She followed those up with New York Goes to Hollywood and then New York Goes to Work, where she tried to find a job that doesn’t involve being on television.
Well, it clearly didn’t stick. She recently appeared on Botched to undo some wear and tear on her boob job because — you guessed it — she wants to make a reality TV comeback.
