Alicia DiMichele Settles to Pay $40K Restitution For Embezzlement Crimes

At least Mob Wives: New Blood star Alicia DiMichele will have closure on one part of her ongoing embezzlement trial. The reality star’s initial court date was way back in January 2014, where she was meant to receive her sentence for embezzlement related to a trucking company she co-owned with her husband — a crime she plead guilty to in December 2013. Though her sentencing has been further delayed, she has now reached an agreement with the courts about her restitution payment.

The sentencing has been halted until a decision was made about the restitution, so this is a step in the right direction for Alicia — though it will cost her a pretty penny. Originally, the prosecutors in the case had requested $20K paid in restitution to those affected by the crime. They also asked for $96K for her earnings from the VH1 reality show, as they said it glorified crime and they didn’t want her to benefit from her appearances.

But now, according to new documents acquired by, Alicia’s lawyers and the court have come to a consensus.

“If Your Honor approves, the parties jointly agree that the Court should, at sentencing, order restitution in the total amount of $40,000,” the documents state. “The parties agree that this is the correct amount, and the Union Funds have agreed that they will not seek any monies over and above that figure.”

That sum will be broken up, with the Mob Wife putting down $20K initially, and the rest spread out over the next year. Once that is approved, they hope to move forward with the sentencing, at last.

Alicia has opted out of the forthcoming fifth season of Mob Wives, she says, to focus on her family. We hope this is the start of the end for her legal troubles, and wish her the best.
