If you thought Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been sexy — with all the pole-dancing and lingerie shopping, not to mention Brandi's "two fingers" discussion — you ain't seen nothing yet. The show is reportedly in talks with sex therapist Dr. Ava Cadell join the cast.
Popdust reports that producers are in the process of working out a deal to have Ava — whom they've apparently been trying to get on the cast for several years — join the show. Ava, 57, was born in Budapest, is a former actress, and has been married to attorney Peter L. Knecht for over 20 years.
"[RHOBH production company Evolution] has actually been trying to get Ava to join the cast for two years now, but it hasn’t been the right time for her previously,” a source says. "She would be great for the show, she’s really outspoken, she doesn’t shy away from being controversial or outrageous, and she has a very aspirational lifestyle." We totally agree, sounds like a great fit!
"She’s top of the producers’ short list, and if they can agree terms, she will definitely join the cast next season," the insider continues.
Ava herself addressed the rumors on Twitter by linking to the Popdust story and writing, "Why I would be a good fit on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills #Loveologist."
Rumors have been swirling that Kim Richards will not return for Season 5, and this new report only adds fuel to that fire. There is also speculation that, if Kim were fired, Kyle Richards would leave as a display of solidarity.
"Kim is definitely on the outs, and it’s very likely Kyle will go with her, so there’s going to be two spaces to fill," says the source.
However, don't expect Brandi Glanville to be asked to leave the show anytime soon. "Brandi is totally safe — there’s no way anyone is even going to consider letting her go," adds the source. "She’s pretty much the lifeblood of the show right now."
