Shannon Beador: We Have $20,000 in Christmas Decorations!

You may think that Christmas is a huge ordeal in your household, but you’d be wrong. Look at Shannon Beador and her family — they go crazy for the big holiday. In tonight’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County — Season 9, Episode 5 (“I Couldn’t Chair Less”) — the newbie showed us how insane she is when it comes to decking the halls of her mansion.

Christmas is my all-time favorite holiday,” Shannon said, unpacking her decorations. “Everyone is in a festive mood, happy — I love decorating. Nothing that I don’t love about Christmas.”

As she rallies her kids to help her get the house ready for the holidays, Shannon revealed that she has to take photos of the way ornaments are arranged so it can be recreated the next year. We admire her organizational skills, kind of.

“I wouldn’t even begin to be able to guess how many Christmas decorations that I have, but we have probably have $20,000 worth of Christmas ornaments,” Shannon told the camera, looking pretty horrified. “It’s mortifyingly embarrassing to even say that number, I know, but it’s my one splurge. I watch the dollar, maybe not on Christmas though.”

This crazy gal then revealed that she puts up two Christmas trees in her home, one formal tree that nobody cares about and one whimsy Charlie Brown-esque tree that everyone loves.

“Christma is a huge event in the Beador house,” Shannon said. “Each year it’s a huge production, I feel like I have to try and outdo myself. It’s a lot of stress and unneeded pressure that I put on myself, but it’s just part of being me.”

You keep doing you, Shannon. We love you!
