First-time mom Heather Morris (Brittany) has kept a low profile since welcoming her son, Elijah, back in September, but now that the little tyke just reached a major milestone, the 27-year-old actress plans to start getting out a bit more.
We were surprised to see the usually press-shy Heather at the 22 Jump Street premiere in Los Angeles on June 10, but as the new mom explained to Us Weekly, she had good reason for leaving the house. “I never get to go out!” she reiterated, but thanks to Elijah’s new and improved sleep schedule Heather’s now more able to enjoy some nights away from home.
“He gets about 10 hours of sleep a night,” she explained. “I go to bed about an hour afterwards. So I get eight or nine hours.” We bet new moms everywhere are green with envy!
Elijah may be a dream now, but once he starts walking around his first birthday this September we know Heather will be chasing him around nonstop. It’s a good thing, then, that the actress has a skincare regimen in place that keeps her face blemish-free and fresh.
What’s her secret, you ask?
“You need a lot of sleep, a lot of water. I use Mario Badescu's honey moisturizer,” she said of how she maintains her flawless skin. “I find that to be the best [for] skin, to take care of my face.”
We have a feeling that this regimen will also be put to good use as Heather gradually continues to work. She’s got a short film, Horrible Parents, to start promoting soon, and after appearing in a handful of episodes during Season 5 of Glee, we’d be shocked not to see her pop up again here and there in the show’s sixth and final season. Keep your fingers crossed, kiddies!
Are you surprised that Elijah is sleeping through the night already? Do you think this will help Heather come back to Glee? Tell us your thoughts below!
Glee Season 6 is expected to debut in 2015.
