Sheree Whitfield Owes Over $100K in Back Taxes, Says the Federal Government

Aww man, we thought things were looking up for our girl Sheree Whitfield. The departed Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member has had tongues wagging with the idea that she may return to the Bravo show for its seventh season. Not only that, but it even looked like we might see Chateau Sheree completed this year! But now, the former reality star has found herself in some hot water with the IRS.

According to a new report, Sheree had a tax lien filed against her by the federal government on December 12, 2013. In the documents, the IRS accused her of owing $111,226.58 in unpaid income taxes from the year 2011.

This comes after Sheree was allegedly hit with yet another tax lien earlier in 2013, when the feds claimed that she failed to pay around $40K in taxes in both 2009 and 2010. Yikes!

Not to pile on the bad news money train, but for reference it should also be noted that Ms. Whitfield dealt with a pricey divorce from ex-husband and former NFL player Bob Whitfield in 2009. So much so, that reports came out last year stating that she’d been ordered to pay her lawyers $119,000 for unpaid legal fees.

Lesson learned: Don’t get married unless you’re 100 percent sure — or if you’re poor and there’s no money involved!
