Shia LaBeouf Plagiarism Controversy: How Did He Apologize to Daniel Clowes?

Just in case you haven’t heard, things haven’t been going so well for Transformers star Shia LaBeouf lately. The 27-year-old actor has gotten into some trouble after plagiarizing cartoonist Daniel Clowes in his short-film directorial debut, Since then, Shia has apologized multiple times and has since vowed he is retiring from public life due to the backlash.

Given all of the drama surrounding the scandal, it’s hard to keep track of all the apologies the Even Stevens star has issued. Wetpaint asked Viggle users which of these options was not a way Shia apologized: hiring a skywriter, sending a dozen roses, or apologizing on Twitter.

Twenty percent of users thought Shia didn’t apologize on Twitter, even though that was his first plan of action! Thirty-two percent of users said Shia didn’t hire a skywriter, which he totally did. Forty-eight percent of users couldn’t be tricked and correctly guessed that Shia had not sent a dozen roses as a grand apology. Maybe he should try that next!

We hope Shia can move past this odd time in his career and that he reprises his role as Sam Witwicky in a slew of new Transformers movies. We’re not ready to give up our Bumblebee yet!
