We knew the Pretty Little Liars Season 4 finale was going to be a game changer, but we weren't expecting Ezra to get shot! (OK, so maybe we were.)
But don't cry yourself to sleep just yet, Ezria fans. We chatted with Ian Harding at the Pretty Little Liars Season 4 finale event in New York City after the heart-stopping finale, and he told us he's signed on with the show for Season 5.
“I did sign a contract for a fifth season. I don’t know in what capacity I’m coming back,” he said.
As for that harrowing scene on the roof, Ian said that he was excited for Ezra to get in on the action after four seasons standing on the sidelines. However, Ezra and “A” encounter of the roof was originally even more violent.
“I was really excited [to shoot that scene],” he said. “They actually cut out a good five minutes of that scene. We had a headbutt at the end, there was a huge punch thrown, and I was wearing this bodysuit because I got slammed up against the rail. It was actually very violent. I don’t know that they show the violence that I was certainly feeling.”
So What does this all mean for Ezria? At the end of the finale, we saw Aria cradling a wounded Ezra on the roof. Does this mean he’s redeemed himself? Ian is on the fence.
“I would still be like, ‘You got shot with a gun, and that sucks, but you still lied to me.’ But maybe that’s just me!”
Are you still reeling from tonight's epic finale? Are you happy Ezra survived? Sound off in the comments!
