Grey’s Anatomy Boss Shonda Rhimes Working on New Film, War Correspondents

It's good to be Shonda Rhimes these days! Besides heading two hugely successful Network dramas, Grey's Anatomy and Scandal, this media mogul is always hard at work developing new shows through her production company, Shondaland, and now she's adding a movie into the mix!

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Shonda, who began her career writing the screenplays for Crossroads and the Princess Diaries 2, is penning another feature film for Columbia Pictures called War Correspondents. The flick is about "a number of female war correspondents," and the movie will be produced by Mark Gordon and Shonda's Shondaland partner Betsy Beers.

Shonda actually came up with the idea of a story about female war correspondents way back before Grey's. She originally thought it could work as a TV show. However, by this point the idea has developed in the direction of a film, and we can't wait to see Shonda bring her sharp dialogue and female-driven storytelling to the big screen!
