Grey’s Anatomy’s Shonda Rhimes Will Only Do THIS X-Rated Story Once Per Season

If you were totally turned off by the Anatomy that was discussed ad infinitum during last night's episode of Grey'sSeason 10, Episode 5: "I Bet It Stung" — don't worry. You won't see another, ahem, manhood storyline… at least, not until Season 11!

"So Shonda Rhimes really likes weird penis medical conditions," a fan tweeted last night.

"We try to do one penis story per season," the Grey's creator tweeted back. "Mainly because we constantly hear that people do weird stuff to their penises."

That they do, O Sage Shonda. That they do.

The "weird stuff" Shonda & Co. covered last night, in case you had the pleasure of missing that plot point, involved a patient with a hornet-stung member.

He originally told the docs that honey had dripped on to his penis, but later revealed that he intentionally humped a hornets' nest. His wife later explained that the guy liked a little pleasure with his pain.

Other penis-related storylines included Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) breaking a one-night-stand's penis in Season 1 and Lexie (Chyler Leigh) breaking Mark's (Eric Dane) penis in Season 5.

Moral of the story, gents: Keep your genitalia away from members of Grey family. And from the writers of Grey's.

Do you think this storyline was too crazy? Sound off below, and catch Grey’s Anatomy (and its penis storylines) on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
