Should Maksim Chmerkovskiy Return to Dancing With the Stars as a Pro?

After 13 long seasons, Maksim Chmerkovskiy finally took home the Mirror Ball trophy on Season 18. Now that he's grabbed the coveted prize, is it time for him to move on from competing as a pro?

Maks himself has hinted that he's probably done as a pro (though he's also expressed interest in stepping in as a judge if Len Goodman does retire). In the end, the choice is up to him, and we want him to do whatever will make him happy. But we're curious what fans think. Do you want Maks to move on?

We have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, Maks is one of the most popular and notable pros for a reason. He has a big personality that's fun to watch, and his dancing is fantastic. He brings a certain something to the ballroom that would be missed if he left for good. (And no, we're not just talking about his abs.)

On the other hand, we've had seasons without Maks that were still great; as much as we love the pros, no single person makes or breaks this show (other than maybe Tom Bergeron). And honestly, it's hard to see Maks going out on a higher note than Season 18. Not only did he finally win, he did it with Meryl Davis. They had one of the most memorable, transformative, and breathtaking partnerships in the history of the show. It's hard to imagine him coming back and pairing with anyone else after the magic we witnessed this season.

What do you think? Should Maks keep coming back as a pro, or was Season 18 the perfect way to say goodbye?
