Single Dad Tony Pieper Shares the Meaning of Father’s Day — Exclusive
We fell in love with single dad Tony Pieper on Emily Maynard’s season of The Bachelorette. Between gushing about his son Taylor and — yes — occasionally crying about how much he missed him, how could your heart not melt a little? Now, two seasons of Bachelor-centric shows later (Tony was also on Bachelor Pad 3), Ton and Tay are still hangin’ tough.
To celebrate Father’s Day, Tony chatted with Wetpaint Entertainment about what the holiday means in his world. And in case this isn’t enough of hot Bachelor Nation dads with their kids, we made a little gallery for you, too. Here’s to all our fathers!
In Tony’s words, here’s what Father’s Day signifies to him:
I have spent every Father’s Day for the last six years with the two most wonderful people in this world: my dad and best friend, and my son who is my heart and soul.
Father’s Day is one of the best days of the year for me because I know I will be spending it with these two wonderful people. It is not about me, it is about my Dad and — of course — making sure my son has a happy and fun day! When they smile and are happy, that is what makes my Father’s Day special.
We usually BBQ and break out the Super Soakers, and of course Tay ALWAYS wins! It is really a day for me to reflect on how wonderfully blessed I have been to have my dad as my best friend, and my son who is the best gift I could have ever asked for.
To me it is not about pampering me at all, because those smiles and the memories are what make me happy.
I wish all the dads out there a very happy Father’s Day and I hope each and every one gets to smile just a little bit longer that day!
Awww, what a sweet message from our pal Tony. Thanks for sharing, buddy, and we hope you have the greatest Father’s Day a great dad like you could imagine.
